Job Summary & Objectives
The Marketing Associate will play a key role in executing marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support sales efforts for DigitalMint’s ransomware incident response, cryptocurrency settlement, and crypto investigations solutions. This position offers hands-on experience in B2B marketing within the fast-evolving fintech and cybersecurity space. Ideal for someone eager to contribute to high-impact campaigns targeting enterprise decision-makers (e.g., incident response execs, CISOs, risk officers, legal teams).
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and executing multi-channel marketing campaigns, including email marketing, content marketing, social media (LinkedIn-focused), webinars, and paid digital ads (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads).
- Create and optimize engaging content such as blog posts, case studies, whitepapers, infographics, and social media posts that highlight our expertise in ransomware negotiation, incident response, and secure crypto transactions.
- Manage and grow our digital presence: update website content (via CMS), maintain social media calendars, and monitor engagement metrics.
- Support lead generation initiatives: coordinate virtual events, nurture leads through marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo, or similar), and track campaign performance.
- Conduct market research on cybersecurity trends, ransomware threats, and competitor activities to inform content and messaging.
- Collaborate with sales, compliance, and incident response teams to ensure marketing materials align with regulatory standards and company positioning.
- Analyze campaign results using tools like Google Analytics, LinkedIn Analytics, and email platforms; prepare reports and recommend optimizations.
- Help manage external partnerships, PR opportunities, and industry event participation (e.g., sponsoring or attending cybersecurity conferences).
What We’re Looking For
- Must reside in the Chicagoland area (Chicago metro region) for regular workdays and in-office meetings.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to simplify complex technical topics (cybersecurity and ransomware) for executive audiences.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools: Google Analytics, social media platforms (especially LinkedIn), email marketing software, and basic graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite a plus).
- Familiarity with B2B marketing concepts and lead generation strategies is highly desirable.
- Interest in fintech, cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, or incident response (prior knowledge not required, but enthusiasm for the space is essential).
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and willingness to learn.
Experience:
- 1–3 years of professional experience in marketing, digital marketing, content creation, communications, or a related field (internships count toward experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Journalism, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, etc)
- Basic knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices.
- Understanding of compliance-heavy industries (e.g., cybersecurity, financial services, regulated fintech).
- Graphic design or video editing skills for content creation.
